Good morning everyone!
I wanted to pop in real quick today and share my latest Art Journal page...
It features a couple of cute owls and a flower from Vera Lane Studio... I love these owls- they make me happy and you can never have too much happy! :) They are colored with Copics, fussy cut out and the inspirational sentiments/quotes are from Tim Holtz.
For the background I used these supplies:
Fossilized Amber, Gathered Twigs & Stormy Sky Distress Oxide inks
Light & Fluffy modeling paste & Stickles Moon Dust Glitter Gel
Botanical stencil from American Crafts/Vicki Boutin
Darkroom Door (mesh) stamp & Waffle Flower (November) stamp
Misc. number die

You can never go wrong with a wise owl or two. These are SO clever and adorable. I light the bright yellow you chose and the very positive quotes, too. This is a beautiful and welcoming entry for Wendy's theme at Art Journal Journey, Tammy.

Hey Tammy! I agree 100% - these owls make me happy, too! I really like the spots of that blue-gray color mixed in with the yellow/ochre...it's the perfect combination! The textures are also wonderful on this with the woven lines and geometric florals! Nice job! Take care and have a great Thanksgiving!

Its adorable owl theme instantly makes me think of a recent owl sighting I had. While out back late one recent evening with our dog, a good-sized owl flew across the lawn and up into one of the lofty evergreens on our property. This is only the second time I've seen an owl in the almost three years we've lived at this house. We hear them often, but spotting one is a rare, exciting event that always gives me such a thrill.
