Spring Butterfly...

Good morning everyone and happy Saturday!

Today starts a new challenge at Crafty Friends and this time we would like to see the color PINK on your creations..

Our fantastic sponsor is The East Wind and my card features the beautiful 'Aurora' Spring Butterfly image... she's colored with Copics and I used a white Posca pen on the scallop to give it a little bit of interest. The yellow background was embossed with a Darcie folder, I used a Sizzix die for the dotted rectangle and MFT dies for the stitched & pierced rectangles. 

Also, this is my last post as part of the Crafty Friends design team... I've enjoyed being on this fabulous team for the last year and a half!  I wish you all the very best and I will 'see' you around blogland! :)

Shabby Chic Riley...

Good morning everyone and happy Saturday!

Today starts a new challenge at Crafty Friends and this time we would like to see your CUTE creations!  

For my card I decided to use my very old but very loved Riley with Flowers stamp... he's stamped with MFT Black Licorice ink and colored with Copics. I created the flowers with a MFT die and I used a Fiskars punch for the corners. I distressed all of the edges and added some pearls to give it a bit of a Shabby Chic feel :)

 and my card features the fun Mouse Playing Hockey pencil drawing... I lightened the image a little before printing it out and then colored it with a couple of teal & gray Copic markers. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp and the rectangles were cut with Avery Elle stitched dies. The papers are from Lawn fawn and to finish it up I added black nailheads.

my card features the beautiful Dragonfly image from Small and Round! She's colored with Copics and I added some sparkle to the image with the Wink of Stella pen. I cut the dragonfly out with a Spellbinder die, embossed it with WOW Ultra Shimmer embossing powder and to finish it up I added Nuvo Crystal Drops.

my card features the beautiful 'Blossoms Girl' image from Sami Stamps. One of my nieces turned 21 yesterday and this is the card I made for her! :)
It's colored with Copics and the fabulous sentiment is from TLC. I used a CB die for the flowers, a MFT die for the scalloped corner and the background was embossed with the Darice Flower Frenzy folder... to finish it up I added a few teal gems.

On my first card I used MFT dies for the Fishtail Flags & Stitched Rounded Rectangle and the background was embossed with a Brick Wall folder. On my second card I stamped the background with VersaMark ink and one of the sentiments out of the 'Apple of my Pie' stamp set from Simon Say Stamp and added a few sequins.

My card features a fabulous Lucy Loo image from The East Wind. She's colored with Copics and I added a lot of sparkle to her hair with the Wink of Stella pen but you can't see it in the photo :(  I used Paper Smooches dies for the sentiment & spider web and the papers are from Doodlebug Design. I used a small paper punch for the spiders, a MS punch for the bats, covered them with black glitter and there you have it... a VERY bright and colorful
