Distressed Masculine card...

Hello everyone and Happy Monday!

I wanted to pop in today and share the birthday card that I made for my Dad...
I used a couple of vintage lighthouse printables from Create with TLC and paired them with Tim Holtz Ephemera pieces, the sentiment is also from Tim Holtz. I used Momenta dies for the ship's wheel and anchor. I added some Tim Holtz Distress Collage medium to the main image for a slight crackle effect and all of the edges were distressed with Walnut Stain ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by and for all of the comments you leave!

Happy 21st Birthday!

Good morning everyone and happy Saturday!

Today starts a new challenge at Crafty Friends and the theme is...
Blossoms!
We have two wonderful sponsors- Toadstool Printables and Sami Stamps...

my card features the beautiful 'Blossoms Girl' image from Sami Stamps. One of my nieces turned 21 yesterday and this is the card I made for her! :)
It's colored with Copics and the fabulous sentiment is from TLC. I used a CB die for the flowers, a MFT die for the scalloped corner and the background was embossed with the Darice Flower Frenzy folder... to finish it up I added a few teal gems.

I hope you can join us and don't forget to pop on over to the main challenge blog for
more inspiration.

Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!

School Girl

Good morning everyone!

I have a very sweet 'Back to School' card to share with you today. My mom's friend requested a card for her granddaughter who heads off to college in a few weeks and this is what I came up with...
It features the adorable School Girl image from Tiddly Inks and a super fun sentiment from TLC! She colored with Copics and I used Walnut Stain ink for the distressing. The flower was cut out of an old dictionary using a Spellbinder die, I used a EK punch for the corners and I used MFT dies for the notebook edge, paper clip and clipboard.

I loved making this card... I think it's perfect for a college student :)

Thanks so much for stopping by... your comments make my day!

Wolf Country

Good morning everyone!

Today I wanted to share a birthday card that I made for my Dad!
It features a gorgeous wolf image from Eureka Stamps and a Vintage Cowboy map from Create with TLC. I colored the image lightly with Copcis and used Walnut Stain ink for the distressing. The wooden chevron arrows were painted with gold metallic paint, crackle paint and then I added distress ink to them also. I found a charm in my stash that had a flower in the center so I removed it and altered the charm...
I punched the word wolf out of an old dictionary, distressed it and then added Dimensional Magic for a 3D effect... it looks so cool IRL!
Well, there you have it... a very masculine card. It was so fun to make and my dad really loved it!!

I hope you have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by!

Love and Happiness

Hello everyone and Happy Tuesday!

I wanted to pop in today and share the card that I made for my sister to congratulate her on her new home! She loves anything vintage/shabby chic so this is what I
came up with...
The sweet little house is from Handmade Harbour and it's colored with Copics. The fabulous sentiment is from Create with TLC and the postage stamp is from Whimsy Stamps. I used a Tim Holtz die for the key, a Spellbinder die for the corner and Joy Craft dies for the flowers. I distressed all the edges with Vintage Photo Distress ink and to finish it up I added some Rock Candy Distress Stickles & pearls to the flowers and then sprayed the entire card with Tsukineko Frost Sheer Shimmer Spritz.

This card was so fun to make and it's so sparkly IRL and the best part was... my sister absolutely loved it! :o)

Well, I think that's it for today... thanks so much for stopping by!
