Snowflakes...

Good morning everyone!

A new challenge starts today over at Try it on Tuesday and this time we want to see Snowflakes on your project!

I made a gift tag and card using Paper Smooches Swanky Snowdudes stamp set. They are colored with Copics and I added a little detailing with a white Posca Pen. The backgrounds were created by using a smooshing technique with acetate, Mermaid Lagoon and Cracked Pistachio DO inks. 

Once dry I mixed a very small about of Mermaid Lagoon ink & modeling paste and applied it through Newton's Nook Snowfall stencil. I really like how light in color the snowflakes turned out and below you can see the texture a little bit better :)   

I used a Newton's Nook die for the trees, a MFT die for the 'joy' sentiment, a Memory Box die for the landscape and TH dies for the snowflakes & tag and that's about it!

Good morning everyone!

Today starts a new challenge at Sparkles Monthly and the theme is...

Make it Small. 

So we want to see: Inchies, ATCs, Bookmarks, Gift Card Holders, Gift Tags and so on... as long as it is SMALL :)

I made some cute little gift tags and I used mostly Tim Holtz products: Christmas Minis dies, tag die, Christmas/Noel paper pad and classic kraft cardstock. The snowman paper is from The Paper Studio and I used a Spellbinders die for the scalloped circle. To finish them up I added twine and a small strip of matching paper inside of each tag and that's about it!

Magical...

Good morning everyone! 

It's time for a new challenge at Try it on Tuesday and the theme is...

Make it Magical!

I made a Magical Christmas art journal page for my DT project :) 

To start- I randomly stamped Penny Black's 'Christmas Story' on a piece of light kraft CS and heat embossed it with gold powder. I also embossed the 'holiday Magic starts from within' sentiment. Then I glued down my torn DP and Vintage Kaisercraft image. I cut the Tim Holtz Elf and Newton's Nook's trees out of green CS and coated them with Glitter Dust Spray. To finish it up I added some gold star sequins.

      My card features the adorable Frozen Fellowship stamp set from Newton's Nook! It's stamped in Archival ink onto mixed media paper and colored with a Moonstone Spectrum Noir Glitter pen. I used a Sizzix/Tim Holtz die for the double stitched rectangle and a MFT die for the small rectangle and there you have it... a very CAS card!

My card features a cute snowman from Bugaboo Stamps... it's colored with Copics and the sentiment is from Clearly Besotted. I used a Whimsy Stamps die for the zig zag rectangle, a Pink & Main die for the rounded rectangle and a MFT die for the fishtail flag. The papers are from Carta Bella and to finish it up I added a few punched corners.

Today is the start of a new challenge at Sparkles Christmas and this month the theme is... Christmas/Holiday Treats.

I made a little gift bag & card and they feature some very cute ephemera pieces and papers from Pebbles- the Merry Merry collection. I used Lawn Fawn dies for the bag and Zig Zag rectangle, Spellbinder and Sizzix dies for circles and the sentiment on the card is a very old stamp from Stampabilities.

 I needed a few more bags for gift cards so here's a picture of them... they are made with the same paper collection and were so easy to make because everything coordinates so well even the tiny tags! :)

It's the most wonderful time of year.

Good morning everyone! 

Today I'm sharing my latest Art Journal page with you. My goal this year was to make a least one AJP per month and I did it! Next year I hope to make more! :)

My page features a cute snowman cut with a Sizzix die and I used a Marianne Design die for the trees. The snowy background was created with Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow stencil, a combination of Glitter Glitz Gel & modeling paste and all of edges were distressed with Antique Linen ink. The red Christmas paper and sentiments are from Tim Holtz and to dress up my snowman I added googly eyes, black gems for the buttons and a tiny black pom pom to his hat! :)

A white Christmas...

Good morning everyone!

It's time for a new challenge at Sparkles Monthly and this month we want to see White on White + 1 color if using a sentiment.  

I decided to make a couple of quick tags using a Tim Holtz die. On my first tag I applied Gina K. Designs white Glitz Glitter Gel through Tim Holtz Festive stencil. And on my second tag I used Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow Stencil with the same glitter gel, Simon Says Stamp Retro Deer die and a Cuttlebug die for the snowflakes. The twine & pearls are from my stash.   

I'm not good at photographing all white and no matter what I did I couldn't get a decent picture. So here's a close up so you can see the texture and sparkle a little better. I really like how my first tag turned out and it was so easy to make! :)

 Good morning everyone!

It's time for a new challenge at Sparkles Christmas and this month we want to see Gold or Silver and/or Glitter on your cards... so many possibilities!

  I made two cards... one with gold and one with lots of glitter and they feature the cute 'Merry Christmoose' stamp set from Clearly Besotted :) They were colored with Copics and cut out with the coordinating dies. For the backgrounds I used Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow Stencil with iCraft gold Deco Foil gel and Gina K. Designs white Glitz Glitter Gel- I love these gels! 

Here's a larger photo of my favorite card so you can see the sparkle a little better! I covered the entire snowbank with a layer of Glitz Glitter gel! :)

A Vintage Christmas

My card features a cute snowman image from Deep Red Stamps... it's stamped onto cream cardstock with Rich Cocoa Memento ink and colored with Copics. The paper is from The Paper Studio and the sentiment is an old $1 stamp from Michaels. I used a Sizzix die for the dotted rectangle, a Tim Holtz die for the double stitched rectangle and a Echo Park die for the doily. All edges were distressed and to finish it up I added hand dyed seam binding.

It's time for a new challenge at Sparkles Christmas and the theme this month is...

Festive Things with Wings.

For my DT card I used the adorable 'Winter Sparrows' stamp & die set from Lawn Fawn. The sparrows were stamped onto watercolor paper and colored with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors. The birch trees & sentiment are from Avery Elle's 'Let it Snow' stamp set. I stamped the snow using Altnew's 'Snowing' stamp and pigment white ink, the trees were cut with Newton's Nook dies and coated with Glitter Dust Spray. 

The trees look black in the photo but they are actually stamped in a brown archival ink. I think next time I stamp directly onto kraft cardstock I'll have to make sure I use a lighter ink color :)

From Our Home to Yours.

For my DT card I created a wintery scene using some stickers from an old Simon Says Stamp card kit. I thought this little Eskimo girl standing on her igloo/snow house would be a good fit for our challenge :) For the background I used Simon Says Stamps Falling Snow Stencil and Gina K. Designs Glitz Glitter Gel... I love this stuff- it's so sparkly IRL! The trees were cut with Newton's Nook dies, I used a Avery Elle die for the dotted snow border and a Pink & Main die for the stitched rounded rectangle. The sentiment is a old $1 stamp from Michaels and it's cut out with a MFT die.

I used a Penny Black die for the stitched rectangle, the papers are from the Paper Studio and the lace & pearls are from my stash. And there you have it... another Christmas card done and it was so easy to make because of all of the stickers!! :)

It's time for a new challenge at Sparkles Christmas and this month we want to see ribbon, twine or lace on your project.

My card features a couple of new die sets... Feathered Friends by Tim Holtz/Sizzix and Woodland Wreath by Spellbinders. I cut everything out of watercolor paper and colored them with a combination of Distress Inks & MozArt Brush pens.
I really had fun working with these dies and I can't wait to make more cards especially in different colors! :)
