Art grows your spirt. Art is your story. Art is a way of living.

Good morning everyone!

I have another Art Journal Page to share with you... my second one this month! I'm really enjoying making these pages and can't wait to make another one!

To start- I added clear gesso to some old dictionary pages, let them dry and then stamped my circles using Simon Says Stamp Scribble Flowers set and a miscellaneous circle stamp set. I then painted all images with Mowed Lawn, Stormy Sky and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide inks.
For the background- I lightly smooshed Stormy Sky DOI onto a piece of mixed media paper. Once dry- I added my grass using a Simon Says Stamp stencil & Mowed Lawn DOI. I used a Carabella Studio stamp for the background circles, a Bo Bunny stamp for the flower stems and Dina Wakley Collage words for the sentiments:
I added splatters with a white Posca pen and more DO inks and there you have it!

Thanks so much for stopping by- I really appreciate it :)
Take care and stay healthy!

You are my HAPPY!

Hello everyone and happy Friday!

Today's card is another mixed media style of card and it features several stamps from Carabelle Studio!
I created a 'stamping with a stencil' background with Darkroom Door Polka Dot stencil and several of my favorite colors of Distress Oxide inks. The cute little owl, checkered pattern and circles are from Carabelle Studio and the sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps. The owl was stamped with Ranger Archival Ink and watercolored with Distress inks... to finish it up I added some googly eyes :)

I hope you have a wonderful weekend and thanks so much for stopping by!

Just For You

Good morning everyone!

Today starts a new challenge at Back to Basics and Beyond and the theme is...
Off-The-Edge Stamping!
For my card I decided to use a couple of Vera Lane Studio stamps again :) I love her fun and quirky stamps! The images are colored with Copics and the label sentiment is from Altenew. I created a watercolor wash background with Mowed Lawn and Mermaid Lagoon Oxide inks. Once dry- I randomly stamped a Darkroom Door mesh stamp in Mermaid Lagoon ink and then stamped Carabelle Studio hearts in black ink for my Off-the-edge technique. I used a Pink & Main die for the stitched rounded rectangle, a Lawn Fawn die for the grass and the sequins are from my stash.

That's it for now... thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to pop on over to the main challenge blog to check out the rest of the teams gorgeous creations!

A little Birdie...

Hello everyone and happy Monday!

Today I wanted to share a very colorful birthday card...
The bright background was created with Mowed Lawn and Mermaid Lagoon Oxide inks... two of my favorite colors! Once dry, I stenciled more Mermaid Lagoon ink through Rangers Old School Number stencil and then randomly stamped the hearts by Carabelle Studio. The Paper Artsy images were stamped with black licorice ink, colored with Copics and the sentiments are from Studio Katia and Reverse Confetti.

Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment :)
