A Christmas Kaleidoscope

Good morning everyone!

Today starts a new challenge at Back to Basics and Beyond and the theme is...
Stamping and Coloring on Vellum.
I've never tried this technique before so this card was really fun to make :)
To start... I stamped the gorgeous Simon Says Stamp Kaleidoscope background stamp with VersaMark ink onto a piece of vellum and then heat embossed it with Simon Says Stamp gold ultrafine detailing powder. Then I flipped it over and colored a few areas with Copic Markers. Next I cut it out with a stitch rectangle die, added several tiny dots of Multi Medium Matte to the back, layered it on top of a piece of white cardstock so the embossing and coloring would pop! To finish it up I added a beautiful scripted die cut sentiment from My Favorite Things.

Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to pop on over to the main challenge blog to check out the rest of the teams beautiful creations!

This is absolutely gorgeous, you make it sound so easy but it looks so complex. This is so stunning, I would have a hard time giving this one away, I would have to give it to my hubby, lol.

Hi, Tammy! Looks fabulous! I love the pretty festive colors you chose to go with the gold elegance of your creation. How did you adhere your vellum to the white card? That's always tricky for me, so I didn't die cut my vellum. Hmmm, but you did and it looks fantastic! Thanks for sharing your expertise! hugs, de
