Good morning everyone!
A new challenge starts today over at Try it on Tuesday and this time we want you to use Book Pages on your projects. I made a couple of cards featuring Lawn Fawn's Stitched Flower Frame die.
The backgrounds were created with acrylic paint, bubble wrap, distress ink and Stampendous Grunge Script stamp set. My book pages are from a used paperback book that I bought from a thrift store for a $1.00... what a deal! I glued the pages down with matte gel medium to a piece of heavy cardstock, once dry I cut the flowers out and then distress the edges with ink.
I used a Penny Black die for the stitched rectangle, a Tim Holtz stamp for the sentiment and for a little extra sparkle I added Stickles Moon Dust Glitter Gel to the flower above- it's so sparkly IRL! :)
Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to pop on over to the main challenge blog to check out the rest of the teams beautiful creations!
Take care... Tammy x

Darling cards! Love the flowers and the great use of book pages! These inspire me! Hugz
Tammy I love how you have showcased not one but two cards, so pretty in different colourways. The die cut book page flower head really makes a statement. Well done on picking up that used paperback, i'm a hoarder when it comes to old books always brought for use in my artwork but then I open them and they are far too nice to use hee hee..
Thank you for sharing this inspirational duo..
Happy weekend Tracey x
SO very pretty- love the book page flowers with your grungy backgrounds- very nice and love your colors too!
That background is fabulous in both colourways Tammy! Thank you for joining us at The Funkie Junkie Boutique blog x
Splendidly pretty cards, dear Tammy. They're upbeat and oodles of fun - not to mention especially well suited to bookworms (of which I am definitely one) everywhere. Thank you for reminding us of the versatility and beauty of (crafting with) book pages.
Sunny hugs & the cheeriest of weekend wishes,
