home for the holidays

Good morning everyone!

Today is the start of a new challenge at Sparkles Christmas and this month we want to see Anything But a Card.
I decided to make a couple tags- AND they were so quick and easy to make because the papers and puffy stickers are from an old Simon Says Stamp Card kit! I'm not a puffy sticker kind of gal but these were perfect for tags! I used a Tim Holtz die for the tags, the little trees were cut with a Cuttlebug die and the twine & seam binding are from my stash.

Now head on over to the main challenge blog and check out the beautiful creations by the other team members!

I'm currently visiting my parents in Arizona :) so I will catch up with you all soon!

Thanks so much for stopping by- Tammy

Quick and Easy Gift Bags

Good morning everyone and Happy Monday!

I wanted to pop in today and share a couple of gift bags that I made for my nieces! I used the adorable 'Merry and Bright' stamp set from Simon Says Stamp and Doodlebug Design 'Here Comes Santa Claus' papers... all from the December Card Kit
I used a Sizzix Bigz die for the gift bags and a Lawn Fawn die for the stitched circle tags. I stamped a little present on the tags, stamped and paper pieced the Christmas tree and stamped the 'Christmas Wishes' Sentiment. For the bag on the right- I used a sentiment and small image from the Doodlebug papers, punched out a few snowflakes and then added blue gems to both of them and there you have it... two quick and fun gift bags! :)

I'm not sure if I will post again before Christmas... so I wanted to wish you all a
VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Thanks so much for stopping by and for all of your wonderful comments! :o)
Big Hugs, Tammy

Smile and be happy...

Good afternoon everyone!

I wanted to pop in today and share a couple of quick cards that I made with the Simon Says Stamps May Card kit!
What a super fun kit... for these two cards I used the 'Happy Days' stamp set, sequins and the word stickers by Pinkfresh Studio. I did a simple watercolor wash for the background and I used Avery Elle's Wonky Stitches dies to cut everything out. The images were stamped onto watercolor paper, heat embossed and then watercolored with my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors, I also added a little more color to the sentiments.

These cards were so easy to make and I love how bright they turned out... they are perfect for the local charity that I donate to!

Thanks so much for stopping by and for all of the wonderful comments you leave.
I'll see you tomorrow!
