Letters to Santa

Happy Saturday everyone!
It's time for a new challenge at Crafty CalendarThis month the theme is...
All Things Christmas

Our fabulous sponsor is Elisabeth Bell and my card features the adorable Letter's to Santa image! Isn't it sweet?! It's colored with Copics, the sentiment is a $1 stamp from Michaels and the snowflake paper is from Bo Bunny.  I cut the poinsettias out of kraft cs with Nesties and then covered them with Rock Candy Distress Stickles.  I love this stuff... IRL it looks like I sprinkled them with sugar! :) The edges have been distressed with Vintage Photo & Broken China distress inks and to finish it up I added some pearls.

This is also my last card as part of the Crafty Calendar DT. After 2 years I have decided to step down and I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to Lynne for having me... It's been wonderful to be part of this talented team... I wish you and the entire DT the very best!

That's it for now, thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend...
I'll see you soon!

Happy Saturday everyone!

Halloween!
For my DT card I chose this adorable Spooky Sally image from Michelle Perkett to work with and the sentiment is included! She's colored with Copics, the corners were cut with a QuicKutz die and the lime green spider paper is from the $1 bin at Target.  I used MS punch for the bats and added a ton of black extra fine glitter... and this time you can see all of the sparkle! I have such a hard time getting a good picture when I use glitter, so I'm very happy with this photo! :)

Love is Sweet

Good morning everyone!
It's time for a new challenge at Crafty Calendar and this month we have a fabulous color combo for you to work with...
Our wonderful sponsor is Hannah Lynn Art who provide the images for us to work with! This is Alice, isn't she beautiful?!!
Now, I have to admit this image was a little intimidating to color... look at all of that gorgeous hair! But I did it and and I'm very happy with the way it turned out! :)
She's colored with Copics and I added a bit of shading with Prisma pencils.  The circle sentiment from Jaded Blossom and the polka dot paper is from the Paper Studio.  The leaves were cut with a Sizzix die, I used a MS punch for the butterflies and a EK punch for the corner.  Vintage Photo distress ink & Broken China distress ink were used for the distressing and to finish it up I added a few pearls that I had in my stash.
Now head on over to the challenge blog and check out the wonderful creations by the other team members!

Music Note Butterflies

Happy Saturday everyone! It's time for a new challenge at Crafty Calendar!
This month the theme is... Things with Wings!

For my DT card I chose this beautiful butterfly image from A Day for Daisies to work with!  To start... I printed the butterfly image out several times (in different sizes) and then I fussy cut out 3 of the 4 butterflies.  I roughed up all the edges with the Tim Holtz Paper Distresser tool before adding Vintage Photo distressed ink. The music note paper is out of an old and very used paperback book that I found at my local thrift store... what a find, it was exactly what I was looking for! :) The woodgrain background paper is from The Paper Studio and the sentiment is from Hero Arts... added my gems and there your have it! I love how fast and easy this card came together and I'm so happy with the way it turned out!

Blossoms for Mom

Happy Saturday everyone!
It's time for a new challenge at Crafty Calendar and this month the theme is...
Blooms and Blossoms!
Our fabulous sponsor is Heather Ellis who provide the images for us to work with!  This is one of Heather's Pure Innocence images, Isn't she a cutie?!!

I wanted to make something a little different so I created this simple pocket card and matching tag!  Usually the tag is larger but I added a packet of seeds and made the tag smaller... that way both will fit in the pocket.  Perfect for our challenge theme and perfect for my mom... I'm going to give this to my mom for Mother's Day along with a few other goodies! :)

Anyway, this sweet image is colored with Copics and the sentiment is from Hero Arts.  The bright yellow paper is from Recollections and the tag was cut with an QuicKuts die. I used a small EK Success punch for the flowers and a Cuttlebug die for the heart... added my hand dyed seam binding and pearls and there you have it!

Make sure you stop by the challenge blog and check out all of the wonderful creations by the other team members!
