Snowflakes...

Good morning everyone!

A new challenge starts today over at Try it on Tuesday and this time we want to see Snowflakes on your project!

I made a gift tag and card using Paper Smooches Swanky Snowdudes stamp set. They are colored with Copics and I added a little detailing with a white Posca Pen. The backgrounds were created by using a smooshing technique with acetate, Mermaid Lagoon and Cracked Pistachio DO inks.
Once dry I mixed a very small about of Mermaid Lagoon ink & modeling paste and applied it through Newton's Nook Snowfall stencil. I really like how light in color the snowflakes turned out and below you can see the texture a little bit better :)
I used a Newton's Nook die for the trees, a MFT die for the 'joy' sentiment, a Memory Box die for the landscape and TH dies for the snowflakes & tag and that's about it!

Now head on over to the main challenge blog to check out the rest of my teammates beautiful creations!

Thanks so much for stopping by and for the comments you leave!

Smile... worry less, giggle more :)

Good morning everyone!

I've been working on some cute and happy cards to add to my donation box so I thought I would share a few of them with you today :)

I created a couple underwater scenes with the adorable Sea Animals dies from Spellbinders and the So Jelly stamp set from Lawn Fawn. The starfish were stamped in VersaMark ink and heat embossed with white powder.

On my first card I created the background using the 'Salt Technique' with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors and coarse sea salt. The die cut sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp and I added some shimmer to the die cut elements with a Wink of Stella pen.
On my second card I created a watercolor wash background with Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers & Mermaid Lagoon Distress ink. Before it was completely dry I splattered some extra water and Peacock Feathers ink. The label sentiments are from Mama Elephant and the google eyes are from my stash.
And here's a peek of the inside- I love this Paper Smooches sentiment... I think it will put a smile on a child's face for sure!
Well, that's all for now... thanks so much for stopping by!
Take care, Tammy

Good morning everyone!

It's time for a new challenge at Sparkles Christmas and this month the theme is...
Winter Wonderland
My card features a couple of cute snowmen from Paper Smooches... they are colored with Copics, fussy cut out and then I added a few highlights with a white Posca Pen. The background was created with Mermaid Lagoon Oxide ink, Tim Holtz 'Crazing' Collage Medium and Simon Says Stamps Falling Snow Stencil. The birch trees, birds and sentiment that I heat embossed with white powder are all from Newton's Nook. I used Avery Elle dies for the dotted snow border and wonky stitch rectangle. And to finish it up I added some tiny googly eyes :)

The little snowman and 'Be Jolly' sentiment is from Paper Smooches and the die cut sentiment is from Tim Holtz. The background was embossed with a CB snowflake folder and I used MFT dies for the corner and fishtail flags.

For today's project I decided to make my first ever shaker card! :) It features three images from the Swanky Snowdudes stamp set by Paper Smooches and the "Let's Chill" sentiment is included in the set! The images were colored with Copics, fussy cut out and then I added some sparkle to the grey areas with the Wink of Stella pen. The red background was embossed with the CB Snowflake folder and the snowflakes were stamped using a Hero Arts stamp and Tsukineko metallic silver ink. I used a QuicKutz die for the corner and the Squiggle border die is from MFT... to finish them up I added a few Dew Drops that I had in my stash.

CAS Christmas Tags

Good Morning everyone and Happy Friday! It's Alphabet Challenge time and today's letter is... T for Tags! I decided to make a couple of gift tags and a round tag for a small jar candle.  I used my new stamp set from Paper Smooches.  It's called Swanky Snowdudes! Oh my gosh, I love this stamp set... it was so fun to work with!  I can't wait to ink it up again and make some Christmas cards!

The images were colored with Copics and I used QuicKutz dies to cut out the tags & circles.  I added Glamour Dust to the snowflakes & snowbanks and a few tiny rhinestones to the circle tag.  To finish them up I tided each tag with some hand dyed seam binding!

Here's a close up of one of the tags so you can see the sparkle better and I also stamped the images twice so I could pop them up with foam dots! :)
