A Vintage Easter

Hello everyone and Happy Saturday!
Today I wanted to share with you a couple of Easter cards that I made for OWH.  The deadline for Easter is February 7th so I thought I better get busy!  :)   I decided to use my new Crafty Secrets Vintage Easter sheet that I bought online.  There are so many adorable images and they are perfect for making quick and easy cards... and I can take a break from coloring for a bit!  I love it!  Here are 2 of the cards that I've made so far...
Both cards have a kraft cardstock background.  I roughed up the edges with the Tim Holtz Paper Distresser tool before adding some Tea Dye distress ink.  I created the flowers with the Rose Creations nesties and I used my new Marianne die for the little bird below.  The dp above is from MME, also new and the dot paper is from the $1 bin at target.  Added some gems and pearls to finish them up.
Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!  It's freezing here today in Colorado!  But, I know our team loves the cold weather!

Vintage Santa

I wanted to try and make some Vintage cards because I see so many gorgeous cards out there in blog land! Well I thought this Christmas stamp set would be a good place to start. Boy...trying to make something look old is so hard! I need a lot of practice...but it will be fun! Anyway...This is my first attempt and it's for these 3 Challenges:
Allsorts-Tag, Ticket or Label
Saturday Spotlight- 'Mess Around' using some type of distressing
Susie & Vikki's Christmas Club-Holly
I stamped my image and tag with Ranger Jet Black ink. Added a little color with watercolor pencils. I gently roughed up the edges with sandpaper and then lightly inked them. The lace and holly berries were in my stash...and there you have it! Thank you for stopping by!
