Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful

Good morning everyone, I hope you had a nice weekend!

Today I have another Art Journal page to share with you :)

My background was created by using a smooshing technique with acetate, Victorian Velvet & Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Inks. Once dry- I splattered gold acrylic paint and then heat embossed the sentiment & zigzag stitches with gold powder. I used Tim Holtz Measured stencil and MFT Confetti stencil with Stickles Moon Dust Glitter Gel.
These stylish ladies are from the 'Simplicity Vintage' stamp set from Inkadinkado. I picked this stamp set up in the clearance aisle at Hobby Lobby for $2.50 what a deal! They were stamped with Ranger Coffee ink, cut out and then colored with Copics and glitter/metallic pens.
And here's a close up of the sentiment.
Well, that's it for today... thanks so much for stopping by!
Take care, Tammy

Goodness, is this lovely! We're just starting to inch our way out from a major arctic cold snap and I am beyond ready to embrace light, sweet, punchy spring and summer shades like the (gorgeous!) palette you utilized here.

OoooH! I love this color combination! I never would have thought it was these two inks together! I need to try the smooshing technique more - I think the inks give you a wider range of colors and show a lot more differences! Take care!
