Yellow Blooms...

Good morning everyone!

A new challenge starts today over at Try it on Tuesday and this time we want to see Summer Blooms on your project!

Today I have a colorful Art Journal Page to share with you :) To start- I created a watercolor wash/splatter background with Mustard Seed, Squeezed Lemonade and Lucky Clover DOI. Once dry I added some texture & shine using Crafter's Workshop Shimmery Goodness and MFT Confetti stencil.
The flowers and leaves were cut with MFT dies, colored with Squeezed Lemonade and Lucky Clover ink. Then I stamped the petals randomly with a script stamp and Mustard Seed ink. I used Dina Wakley's collage words for the sentiments and to finish it up I added black sequins to the flowers.
Now head on over to the main challenge blog and check out the fabulous creations by the other team members!

Thanks so much for stopping by and for the comments you leave.

  32. Fantastic card and reminder via the encouraging sentiment alike. I find I'm often drawn intensely to the colour yellow around this point in the year, almost as if my Canadian brain knows subconsciously that in a few brief weeks, seeing sunshine will be rarer than hen's teeth as we slog through six (or more) months of winter.

To that end, I craft with it, wear it, and even find I eat more yellow foods. All enjoyable activities that celebrate a colour that so perfectly bridges summer and fall, with its own distinct palette of golden shades.
