Thank You

Good morning everyone!

Today starts a new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz and this time we would like to see BUTTERFLIES on your creations!

I decided to make a couple of cards and they feature butterflies from Hero Arts and a die cut sentiment from Spellbinders. I used distress inks to watercolor the butterflies and the backgrounds were created with embossing folders and the same colors of distress ink.

For this card- I applied Twisted Citron DI randomly to one side of Darice Multi-sized dots folder, misted it with water, put a piece of Canson Mix Media paper in the folder, closed it and pressed down on the folder to transfer the ink... you could also run it through your die cut machine. Once dry, I stamped the corners with Peacock Feathers & a mesh stamp from Darkroom Door...
and on this card- I applied Brushed Corduroy & Walnut Stain ink to a Darice Brick Wall folder and then followed the same steps as I did on the card above.
I love the way these backgrounds turned out especially the brick wall one! AND the distress ink & embossing folder technique was so easy to do... I can't wait to try other embossing folders! :)

Well, that's all for now... thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to pop on over to the main challenge blog to see the gorgeous creations by the other team members!

I am so trying to relax and try these techniques but really struggle to relax and not tidy every little corner. They look brilliant particularly the one in browns.
