Hydrangea card for Mom

Hello everyone!

I have another card to share that I created with the fabulous Simon Says 
Hydrangea Petals Die...
I pretty much followed the same design as this card... but this time I applied texture paste through the Tim Holtz Burlap stencil- once dry I added Peacock Feather DI and some blue shimmer mist. The hydrangea petals were cut and colored with the same inks and then I stamped the petals randomly with the Darkroom Door mesh stamp. I used a Wplus9 stamp for the word mom and a Avery Elle die for the stitched rectangle... to finish it up I added Caribbean Ocean Crystal Drops to the center of the flowers.

    Great combo of mesh background and flowers for a cool yet feminine monochromatic look. It has never occurred to me to use punched or die cut flowers as main attraction on a card, I've thought of them as embellies. This is a great way to use them for simpler designs as well.

    Yummy, Tammy! I love that soft color, and the bits of yellow or chartreuse you've incorporated into the coloring. I especially like that some of the flower petals are stamped! BEAUTIFUL CARD!
