Art grows your spirt. Art is your story. Art is a way of living.

Good morning everyone!

I have another Art Journal Page to share with you... my second one this month! I'm really enjoying making these pages and can't wait to make another one!

To start- I added clear gesso to some old dictionary pages, let them dry and then stamped my circles using Simon Says Stamp Scribble Flowers set and a miscellaneous circle stamp set. I then painted all images with Mowed Lawn, Stormy Sky and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide inks.
For the background- I lightly smooshed Stormy Sky DOI onto a piece of mixed media paper. Once dry- I added my grass using a Simon Says Stamp stencil & Mowed Lawn DOI. I used a Carabella Studio stamp for the background circles, a Bo Bunny stamp for the flower stems and Dina Wakley Collage words for the sentiments:
I added splatters with a white Posca pen and more DO inks and there you have it!

Thanks so much for stopping by- I really appreciate it :)
Take care and stay healthy!
Tammy x

  2. Beautiful page Tammy, I love how you made the flowers. It reminds me of a beautiful spring day. The background is fantastic, too. One of my fave stamps is 'Art is not a thing, it is a way of life'. Have a great day, take care of yourself and stay safe! Hugs, Valerie

  18. What a fresh spring-like journal page this is. I love how you used text paper to create your flowers and the background you made is terrific. Great idea to paint in the grass at the bottom as it grounds the flowers. It's very effective too. must say i love your handwriting!

  26. This is beautiful and so cheery! I saved a bunch of books to use in crafting and so far they have just gathered dust in my studio. Your awesome project has inspired me to use them on a tag.

Love the techniques you employed and the result is lovely. Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful work with us at A Place To Start!
