Good morning everyone!
A new challenge starts today over at Cardz 4 Galz and the theme is What's New? So we would like to see your newest technique or recent purchase.
I have two Halloween cards to share with you today... they feature my new Tim Holtz Silly Monsters and Halloween Word dies and on my first card I finally gave the 'Distress Resist Spray & Stencil' technique a try. I used TH Lattice Work stencil, Spiced Marmalade and Mustard Seed Distress inks and followed this tutorial... she gives great step-by-step instructions on all of her beautiful cards and backgrounds!
On my second card I used TH Distress Collage medium- Crazing for the first time and Kaisercraft Bubbly stencil, along with the same distress ink colors as above.
The monsters were created using a watercolor smooshing technique with a piece of mixed media paper and Spiced Marmalade ink. Once dry- I cut the monsters out and then stamped them randomly with the Water Droplet background stamp from Deep Red Stamps.
And there you have it- a couple of fun Halloween cards using a new technique and lots of new crafty supplies!
Now head on over to the main challenge blog and check out the beautiful cards by the other team members!
