Hello Bokeh!

Good morning everyone!

Today is the start of a new challenge at House of Cards and this month we would like you to create a card using the Bokeh Effect
To start... I added Crushed Olive, Peeled Paint and Peacock Feathers distress inks to a craft mat- sprayed it with water and then "smooshed" my watercolor paper through the puddles... I let that dry completely. Next, I made a very easy stencil... I just cut different sizes of circles out of acetate using circle nesties :o) Then I went to town sponging through my stencil in different shades of blue/teal inks! The sentiment was cut from a Cuttlebug die, I used a MFT die for the stitched circle and a Spellbinder die for the dragonfly and there you have it- my first attempt at the Bokeh Effect!

I hope you can join us and don't forget to pop on over to the main challenge blog for
more inspiration.

Thanks so much for stopping by... I have one more post scheduled for today, so I will see you soon! :)

Your first attempt was a really successful one, Tammy! I haven't tried this yet, I'm not very good at using my inks, I'm kind of scared of them to be honest. But this looks stunning, also the way you decorated it, so I should perhaps have a go at it.

Such an awesome background you have created, love your colour choices. I really like how you haven't added to much to the card so the background is the hero of the card. Thanks for joining us at Perfecly Rustics.

Fresh and clean color scheme that was perfect for the Bokeh Effect. I love the die-cut/punched dragonfly, too. It was a nice touch to the pretty card.
