Butterfly note cards

Good morning everyone!
I wanted to pop in today and share a couple of blank note cards... I plan to make a few sets and give them to family and friends for Christmas.  For this particular set I made 3 of each color.

To start, I splattered distress ink on the base of each card with a toothbrush... I used watercolor paper for the base of the cards because it's nice and heavy. I stamped the image (Tim Holtz) and butterflies (Hero Arts) onto watercolor paper in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and painted them with distress ink.  For this card I used Broken China...
and on this card I used Mustard Seed...
I went a little crazy with the splattering on this card! :)

The image is framed with black cardstock and I used matching dies to cut out the butterflies... and there you have it, super easy note cards!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I will see you soon!
